17/05/09 - The 100 Pipers Scottish Pipe Band Championships 2009, Dumbarton


The Branch was represented by the Welsh Piping Society and the two bands from the University of Bedfordshire at the first major contest of the year on Saturday 16th May.

The Grade Four Band of the University of Bedfordshire, competing in the Grade 4A contest qualified for the final in first place in their heat. They were later placed a creditable fifth place in the final, well done to them.

The University of Bedfordshire Grade Two band were placed a fantastic second in their contest, very well done indeed and our congratulations go to them.
